We typically take the kids on a close, short getaway over Memorial Day weekend. We weren’t going to do much this year since we had just been to Hawaii a few months before (post to come). JD, however, found affordable tickets to a Minnesota Twins game.
Target Field is about a 4 1/2 hour drive from us, so we got in the car around 6:30 am on a Saturday morning and made the trek. I’ve said it before, but if the kids have their tablets or are listening to their choice music, they are golden in the car.
I found cheap parking ahead of time via Spot Hero. I knew it was reputable because it was even recommended on mlb.com so I reserved it for about $13 in advance, we parked, and walked about ten minutes to Target Field. More on this later.
We discovered that Target Field has this amazing thing called 612 Saturdays. $6 drinks, $1 snacks, and $2 food. Holy. Steal. We got all five of us a hot dog, a bag of chips, a drink, a couple frozen lemonades, and a bag of popcorn for later for under $50!!
Our seats were up high, but they were pretty amazing. We could see everything and were close to bathrooms.

We drove home after the game. Now, if you use Spot Hero, you’re going to want to make sure you’re in the right parking ramp. The directions were not very clear, we ended up in the wrong ramp, and ended up having to pay again. Whoops.
